1. Who we are

BytPDF (www.bytpdf.com) provides browser-based PDF tools. All tools use the open-source PDF.js engine and run entirely in your browser's memory.

2. Data we collect: none

• Document content — never collected. Files are read locally via the browser File API and processed in RAM.
• Account data — none. The international (English) edition requires no account, registration, or login.
• Personal data — none collected on the international edition.
• Cookies — no tracking cookies are set. No third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
• Server logs — the hosting provider may retain standard, short-lived access logs (IP address, request URL) for security and anti-abuse purposes. These contain no document content.

3. Your rights under GDPR / LGPD / CCPA

Because BytPDF collects no personal data, there is nothing to access, rectify, or erase. If you have questions, contact us and we will confirm this in writing.

4. GDPR compliance by design

• No data controller/processor role. Since no document data reaches our servers, BytPDF is neither a data controller nor a processor for your documents. No Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is required.
• No cross-border transfer. Your document never leaves your device, so EU international data transfer rules (Chapter V GDPR) do not apply.
• Data minimization (absolute). We collect zero document content — there is nothing to minimize.

5. No AI training

Your documents are never used to train AI models. This is guaranteed by architecture, not policy: documents never reach our infrastructure, so there is nothing to train on.

6. Verify it yourself — the disconnect test

You don't have to take our word for it. This is the industry-standard test for true local processing:

1. Open any tool, e.g. Compress PDF.
2. Wait for the page to finish loading.
3. Disconnect your Wi-Fi / ethernet (or enable airplane mode).
4. Process a file. If it works, the file is processed locally — nothing is uploaded.
5. Reconnect and close the tab. The file's memory is cleared by the browser.

7. Purchases & payment

Pro purchases are processed by independent payment providers (PayPal / Stripe). Your payment details go directly to the provider under their privacy policy — BytPDF never stores payment information. For order support, email bytpdf@163.com.
